I did my undergraduate studies at UCLA in psychobiology and then attended USC for medical school. I completed residency at the UCLA/San Fernando Valley Psychiatry Training Program and I am a Board Certified Psychiatrist.
I am passionate about working with adults to improve their emotional health and well-being. I have a strong background in both psychopharmacology and psychotherapy, including psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral and mindfulness. I believe in treating the whole person and I very much enjoy working collaboratively with my patients on a journey towards a healthy and fulfilling life.
I have a special interest, knowledge and experience working with women dealing with a variety of mental health issues including issues during the premenstrual period, pregnancy, breast-feeding and menopause. I also really enjoy working with young adults and have a lot of experience with anxiety, mood disorders and ADHD in both men and women. Another particular interest of mine is working with people dealing with OCD using both exposure response prevention, mindfulness and medication management.
I am excited to announce that I have a new book coming out!
